So what is detoxifying?

Well, it is an internal cleansing of toxins, from our bodies.

These are toxins that we either produce, ingests or absorb.

Our bodies produce toxins as it goes about it's regular daily

functioning and when our system is working properly these toxins

will be eliminated efficiently.

But very few of us have systems that are so well balanced, anymore.

We are not eating properly, we don't get enough rest or exercise.

So, our bodies don't function as smoothly as they should.

Favourite Recipes

1 tsp (5 mL) oil

1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped onion

1 cup (250 mL) Ocean Spray Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

1/2 cup (125 mL) maple syrup

1/4 cup (50 mL) ketchup

1/4 cup (50 mL) cider vinegar

The skin is one of the body's main organs and can eliminate around 10% of all waste from the body. It does this mainly through sweating, we loose moisture through the skin 24/7 even though we're not aware of it. It's a natural process and of course your facial skin is included in this.

Heat oil in a medium non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer mixture to a blender container. Cover and blend at high speed until smooth. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 1 week. Use to baste ribs, pork chops or chicken during the last few minutes of grilling. Makes 1-1/4 cups (300mL).

The human body is like one big process of input and output. Some things we intake such as food and water which the body requires diffuse into the body; we then pass the by-products which are of no use, or surplus to the body's requirements. Drugs, on the other hand, diffuse almost entirely into the body as this is what they are designed to do.
